What Does It Cover?
The Central Florida Council Program Fee collected during the recharter/membership renewal process supports the Central Florida Council (CFC) operation by keeping the CFC office and camp open and maintained, helping to offset the cost of insurance coverage, and providing select district events and leader training events with no event registration for youth and adults in the Central Florida Council.
In the current 2023-2024 program year, the CFC Program Fee includes the following events with no registration fee:
District Cub Scout Shooting and/or Adventure Days
District Cub Scout Family Campouts
District Webelos Woods
District Scouts BSA Fall Camporees
District Scouts BSA Spring Camporees
Annual District Banquets
Certain District Adult Leader Trainings
Central Florida Council University of Scouting
Note that individuals or units can register for program-fee-covered events throughout the council. (You are not limited to your own district.) Even though the events are no cost, registration is required.

Narcoossee District is starting an online archive of Eagle Scout Service Projects that have been completed by youth in our district. This online archive will be housed on the (new) Narcoossee District website at https://narcoosseebsa.org/. The vision of this archive is to be a space to share and honor the amazing projects completed by our Eagle Scouts while also providing aspiring Eagle Scouts with a resource for learning about projects completed in our local area. While contributing to the archive is completely optional, we hope you will encourage Eagle Scouts in your unit to participate.
Big thanks to Rajan Sambandam for being the first scout to contribute to the archive. Be sure to check out Rajan’s article about his Eagle Project “Forget Me Not Park” at this link: https://narcoosseebsa.org/index.php/2023/11/01/forget-me-not-park/
Here are instructions for scouts who wish to have their Eagle Project included in the archive:
Please share a written description of your Eagle Project (100 – 300 words) and up to 3 pictures to be posted in the Narcoossee District Eagle Scout Service Project Archive on the Colonial District website. It is absolutely fine to copy-paste text from your Eagle Scout Service Project Report! In your writeup, please be sure to identify the project beneficiary and explain what the project entailed, including the expected impact. You might also consider including details on the number of volunteers that supported the project and the total number of volunteer hours, why you decided to do this project, and what you learned about leadership through the project implementation. Submit via email to wendyscout2@gmail.com. ***Be sure to copy your parent on the email, to be in compliance with BSA youth protection policy.

Stan Richards and Theresa Martinez are leading the Narcoossee District Eagle Advancement Team. If you have Eagle Advancement questions or requests, you have the option to contact either one of them. However, generally speaking, Stan is taking the lead for units geographically located in Orange County, and Theresa is taking the lead for units geographically located in Osceola County. You can contact Stan Richards at scouterstan@gmail.com and Theresa Martinez at osceoladvancementchair@gmail.com.
Please note the following information for Life scouts working on their Eagle Rank:
1. The Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook was last updated in February 2023. Please make sure you are using the 2023A version when you submit your workbook for district review. The 2023A version of the Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook PDF can be downloaded from the National website at:
https://www.scouting.org/programs/scouts-bsa/advancement-and-awards/eagle-scout-workbook/
2. Life scouts who are ready for their Eagle Project Workbook review and District approvals have the option of personally meeting with a District Advancement team member by appointment. The Life Scout can still opt to submit and receive feedback electronically, if preferred. But in some cases, a short in-person meeting will still be needed for signatures.
3. Eagle Boards of Review (EBOR) will be held by appointment at a location coordinated by the District. The Eagle Scout Candidate should contact Stan Richards or Theresa Martinez for further guidance on how to proceed, which may or may not entail the Troops obtaining their own representatives for their EBOR.
