Next Saturday 11\/8\u00a0is food collection!\u00a0Please wait until\u00a0after\u00a09am to\u00a0begin collecting the bags in your unit’s assigned territory. If possible, we encourage you to publicize the bag collection on social media (Facebook, Next Door, etc.) with a reminder to have the donations set out in a visible location prior to 9am Saturday.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Food donation collection sites will be open for drop-offs from\u00a09:00am\u20141:30pm<\/strong>\u00a0at the following locations on 11\/8:\u00a0<\/p>\n South Narcoossee Collection Site in Osceola County (*NEW this year*) North Narcoossee Collection Site: STU Import\/Export (*aka The Popcorn Warehouse *) 5105 Patch Rd., Orlando 32822 Second Harvest Food Bank Please try to drop off at one of the Narcoossee Collection sites, as we will not have a district representative stationed at Second Harvest to record your number of bags. If you find it necessary to drop off at Second Harvest, please text\/email\u00a0SFF Chair Sonia Tzabery (954-610-3669,\u00a0<\/span>Sonitzascout4@gmail.com<\/a>) with the number of ~7 pound bags your Unit collected.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n If your unit has SFF bags leftover, you can turn them in at one of the district collection sites, bring them to Round Table, or you can hold onto them until next year. Note that there is not a specific date listed on the bags, so they can be used in future years!\u00a0 Additionally, we will need volunteers from each of the areas to act as runners to pick up bags that were not collected.\u00a0 (This typically happens because they were not set out in time.) \u00a0We will reach out to each of you individually should that be needed.\u00a0 Please have at least one runner identified. Those bags may be take to Second Harvest or any food pantry you prefer. <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n BSA Units from all programs are requested to record service hours in Scoutbook. This can be done by the Key 3 (CM, CC, COR), Advancement Chair, or someone officially designated as a Key 3 delegate in<\/span>\u00a0My.Scouting.org<\/a>\u00a0via Organization Manager. Only these positions have access to the Internet Advancement system in which the service hours are to be logged.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \tSign-in to Scoutbook,\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/scoutbook.scouting.org\/<\/a><\/span><\/span> \t\tScouts identified in step 3 are included already.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span> \tClick \u2018Record and Finish.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Narcoossee District is seeking a few volunteers to be trained to serve as Short-Term Camping Administrators<\/strong> for our district events.\u00a0A person in this role is responsible for ensuring that the planned camping event complies with the NCAP\u00a0Short-term Camp Standards and BSA National Camp Standards. (They are NOT responsible for planning the event.) Families who were planning to attend are encouraged to attend instead the Cub Holiday event December 12-14. Roundtable is a great way for Scout leaders to share ideas, network and get information about our Council and District. Fully included in your council program fees, this covert operation runs December 5\u20137 at Moss Park.
