Contact Michelle Adamick at 972-358-6171 or \u00a0colonialmb1@gmail.com<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The <\/span><\/span>2025 Scouting for Food (SFF) <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>service project is ramping up and your unit’s participation and efforts are key to making this important service\u00a0project successful.\u00a0Scouting for Food is the nation\u2019s largest single-day food drive and an opportunity for Scouts to make a significant impact in our community by helping local families. \u00a0Last year our district collected about 60,000 pounds of food. Our goal this year we\u2019ll be to do the same or better.\u00a0<\/span> Important dates:<\/strong> Volunteers will be needed at the collection sites.\u00a0<\/span>Troops are encourage to have 1-2 scouts help\u00a0with the drop off. If some troop scouts can help us from 10:00-1:00 or any time during \u00a0this time frame, we are happy to sign-off service hours. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Thank you for supporting Scouting for Food and your commitment to serving our youth and community. The kits will now be automatically mailed to Eagle Scouts, as was done prior to the delay from the national office. Roundtable is a great way for Scout leaders to share ideas, network and get information about our Council and District. Ideally, every unit should try to have at least one leader attend every month so that you can take what you learn to your Units!<\/span><\/p>\n This month’s\u00a0September Roundtable\u00a0<\/strong>will be held on\u00a0Thursday, 9\/18\/25<\/strong>. Class A uniform is mandatory for the scouts. \n—\u00a0November 8: <\/strong>Your unit collects SFF donations in your assigned area\u00a0and delivers\/reports donations at a district collection site. There are two collection sites in\u00a0Orange County\u2014Second Harvest Food Bank and STU Import\/Export (* aka The Popcorn Warehouse *). There is one collection site in\u00a0Osceola County that is so new this year\u20145750 Nova Rd, Saint Cloud.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
