All merit badge pamphlets are now available as free PDFs on the<\/span>\u00a0Scouting.org<\/a>\u00a0merit badge website <\/span>(https:\/\/www.scouting.org\/skills\/merit-badges\/<\/a>).\u00a0 This upgrade gives everyone free access to these resources. Printed versions are still available\u00a0through Scout shops.\u00a0Merit badge pamphlets are designed to help Scouts complete the most current set of requirements. Here is how to\u00a0access the digital PDFs:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \tGo to<\/span>\u00a0https:\/\/www.scouting.org\/skills\/merit-badges\/<\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Due to a delay at National, no Eagle Rank certificates have been released since December.\u00a0 If you are in need of a presentation kit (rank insignia, medal, and pins) for an Eagle Court of Honor this summer, please\u00a0contact Lilly Bruno at the Council office via email at Lilly.Bruno@cflscouting.org<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to confirm that a kit is available and coordinate a day and time for pickup.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n There are several changes to Eagle Scout processes at the National, Council, and District levels.\u00a0 Please help spread this information to your Unit Life Scouts, Leaders, and Advancement Chairs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n CFC Eagle Application Process<\/strong>: The Council has a new online tool for submitting Eagle Rank Applications, which eliminates the need to mail paperwork until after the BOR is completed and provides real-time tracking of status.\u00a0 The tool and instructions for use are available at\u00a0http:\/\/eagleapp.cflscouting.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n Eagle Reference Changes<\/strong>: National has reduced the required references to 4 and removed the specific roles on the application.\u00a0 Scoutmasters and Committee Chairs may not be references, and use of Parents is strongly discouraged. The Scout is now responsible for requesting letters from references.\u00a0 More information is available here:<\/span>\u00a0https:\/\/www.scouting.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Eagle-References-Pre-and-Post-January-1-2025.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n District Eagle BOR Requests<\/strong>: With multiple volunteers now serving as Eagle BOR District Reps for the Northern portion of the District, we are no longer able to maintain a list of available EBOR dates and instead need Units to provide available dates when requesting an EBOR via<\/span>\u00a0narcoosseeadvancement@gmail.com<\/a>. A Scout may make this request, but must have coordinated with and cc their Unit Advancement Chair when doing so. When requesting please allow for enough time to obtain reference letters, and provide multiple dates if possible to aid in ease of scheduling.\u00a0 If known, providing a location and preferred time when requesting helps streamline the process.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0Any questions about these changes or the Eagle Scout process can be sent to\u00a0narcoosseeadvancement@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0scouting@dmorriso.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n Thanks, <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The 2025 Cub Scout Day Camp hosted by Narcoossee District July 14-18\u00a0is\u00a0still seeking Adults\u00a0and Scouts age 14+ to volunteer. The camp location is\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Center\u00a0Point Community Church<\/span> (9580 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL 32825<\/a>)<\/span><\/span>. Volunteers can help out for 1\/2 a day, 1 day, a few days or all 5 days. Roundtable is a great way for Scout leaders to share ideas, network and get information about our Council and District. Ideally, every unit should try to have at least one leader attend every month so that you can take what you learn to your Units!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This month’s\u00a0June\u00a0Roundtable\u00a0<\/strong>will be held on\u00a0Thursday, 6\/19\/25<\/strong>. The theme is\u00a0INVENTION CONVENTION<\/strong>!\u00a0Cub Scout Day Camp offers boys and girls entering 1st through 5th grade in the 2025-26 school year a full week of FUN and exciting activites related to the Invention Convention theme. Activities will also provide opportunity to earn 3 elective adventures and 2 target and range belt loops. Narcoossee District Cub Family Campout and Pioneer Games!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n This camping event for cub scouts and their families will be a grand celebration of our founding families, and a great way to celebrate being thankful with our Cub Scout community. There will be settler and pioneer themed games, a dance party, crafts, thanksgiving meal and sides contest, and so much more. Location is Moss Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n This district event is covered (paid for) through the Council Program Fee that is paid with membership renewal, so all scouts and registered leaders<\/span>\u00a0are free.
