Thanks to all who attended the Round Table and cast a vote on the design options. And thanks to the amazing artists who submitted designs. It was a tough decision, as the three options were all amazing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here is Ruth\u2019s explanation of her thoughts in designing the patch: I tried to incorporate aspects of both districts from their logos and patches while also bringing in the new components. For Osceola, I tried to incorporate the knots that used to surround the perimeter of their image. I tried to take the central stream idea from the Colonial patch, and I incorporated the theme of orange groves from several different council patches that have been created over the past few years. Then, I added the bear to the center to stand as our new identity*.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>*The name \u2018Narcoossee\u2019 comes from the Creek Indian word for \u2018black bear.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>                            <span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&lt;!&#8211;            <\/p>\n<p>&#8211;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>              \t<!--[if mso]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<!--[if mso]&gt;--><\/p>\n<div><span><span><span><strong>Dr. Phillips Charities Matching\u00a0Grant Program<br \/>\nfor Eagle Scout Projects<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<!--[if mso]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<!--[if mso]&gt;--><\/p>\n<p>            <span><span><span>Dr. Phillips Charities has established a matching grant fund at the Central Florida Council to which Eagle Scout candidates may apply for partial assistance to fund their Eagle Scout Service project.\u00a0<strong><em>Only projects located in Orange, Osceola &amp; Seminole counties will be considered for approval.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0The Eagle Scout Project Proposal should include completion of the Preliminary Cost Estimate and, if approved by Dr. Phillips Charities, where you will get the matching funds. Our Volunteer Directors are hard at work developing a program with FUN and unique ways to learn and enjoy the great outdoors. Cub Scouts receive a patch, t-shirt<strong>\u00a0(2 FREE SHIRTS IF REGISTERED EARLY!)<\/strong>, and all program materials with their registration fee. Cub Scouts are expected to wear their camp t-shirt every day during camp.
