We thank Jeremy for his service as a professional Scouter for the Colonial District. We will then share the submitted designs via the district Facebook group and newsletter. Finally, we will vote to determine a winner at the April Narcoossee District Round Table meeting.<\/p>\n Designs can be submitted by sharing them on the Narcoossee District Facebook group. OR if you prefer to submit privately (and have your design shared anonymously), you can email your design to Wendy Bray at wendyscout2@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n It is time again to recognize and celebrate our District’s outstanding volunteers by honoring them with awards! If you have not already, please take a few minutes to submit nominations for District Awards, including\u00a0Individual Leadership Awards\u00a0<\/strong>for different positions,\u00a0Unit of the Year Awards<\/strong>, the\u00a0Shining Star Award\u00a0<\/strong>in recognition of a local organization that supports Scouting in our district,\u00a0and for the highest honor in our district\u2014the\u00a0District Award of Merit<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n More information and links to nomination forms for these District awards as well as Council-level awards can be found here: District & Council Award Nomination Info 2024<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The DEADLINE to submit nominations is<\/strong> February 29, 2024<\/strong> for all District Awards and most Council awards.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Do you have leaders in your unit who qualify for requirement-based awards, such as Training Awards and the Scouter’s Key Awards? We encourage you to review the requirements and submit award applications for leaders who meet the criteria! We will recognize recipients of these awards in May at the (separate) District Recognition Banquets hosted by the former Osceola and Colonial Districts. Applications can be submitted year-round to our Narcoossee District Training Chair, Dominique Rodriguez, at\u00a0<\/span>ccdrpack15@gmail.com<\/span><\/a>. But please submit by April 1st to ensure applications will have enough time to be processed ahead of this year’s banquet.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Den Leader Training Award<\/strong> Scouter\u2019s Training Award<\/strong> Scouter\u2019s Key Award<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Narcoossee District is starting an online archive of Eagle Scout Service Projects that have been completed by youth in our district. This online archive will be housed on the (new) Narcoossee District website at <\/span>https:\/\/narcoosseebsa.org\/<\/a>.\u00a0The vision of this archive is to be a space to share and honor the amazing projects completed by our Eagle Scouts while also providing aspiring Eagle Scouts with a resource for learning about projects completed in our local area. While contributing to the archive is completely optional, we hope you will encourage Eagle Scouts in your unit to participate.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Big thanks to\u00a0Rajan Sambandam<\/strong>\u00a0for being the first scout to contribute to the archive. Below are some of the upcoming events that your scouts\/unit can register for today. And best of all, many of these events are included in the CFC Program Fee (so no additional cost). More information and registration for each event can be accessed through the council calendar at \u00a0https:\/\/www.cflscouting.org\/calendar\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Cub Scouts<\/strong><\/span> Scouts BSA<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n We would like to invite you to the Narcoossee District Roundtable, which will\u00a0typically be held on the third\u00a0Thursday of every month at Centre Point Community Church (9580 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL 32825<\/a>).\u00a0Doors open for gathering at\u00a06:30pm, and opening flag is at\u00a07pm. Roundtable is a great way for Scout leaders to share ideas, network and get information about our Council and District. In your writeup, please be sure to identify the project beneficiary and explain what the project entailed, including the expected impact. You might also consider including details on the number of volunteers that supported the project and the total number of volunteer hours, why you decided to do this project, and what you learned about leadership through the project implementation.
