Congratulations!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n John Burbon Hanniford, Troop 205<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The first order of business is to NAME the merged district. Do you have ideas for an awesome district name? Please share your district name ideas via the Google form at this link:\u00a0https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/DistrictNameIdeas<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Note that, per current guidelines from National BSA, the district name CANNOT\u00a0be a name previously used in the Council, the name of a person, or\u00a0a name with Native American connotation.\u00a0<\/p>\n At the upcoming integration meeting, the list of district name ideas will be reduced to 3\u00a0top candidates by the members present. These top 3\u00a0names will then be recommended to the Central Florida Council BSA, and the Council will make the final determination.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n We hope everyone\u2019s Scouting for Food bag distribution went smoothly yesterday. Next Saturday 11\/11 is food collection!\u00a0Please wait until\u00a0after\u00a09am to\u00a0begin collecting the bags in your unit’s assigned territory. If possible, we encourage you to publicize the bag collection on social media (Facebook, Next Door, etc.) with a reminder to have the donations set out in a visible location prior to 9am Saturday. Alternate Collection Site Option: \u00a0 Additionally, we will need volunteers from each of the areas to act as runners to pick up bags that were not collected.\u00a0 (This typically happens because they were not set out in time.) \u00a0We will reach out to each of you individually should that be needed.\u00a0 Please have at least one runner identified. Those bags may be take to Second Harvest or any food pantry you prefer. <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n We know each unit is working hard on getting their unit’s recharter complete, and the deadline to turn them in on-time is 11\/16\/2023 at the November roundtable. If you have any questions on rechartering please contact your unit commissioner first. Below are some of the upcoming events that your scouts\/unit can register for today. And best of all, many of these events are included in the CFC Program Fee (so no additional cost). More information and registration for each event can be accessed through the council calendar at \u00a0https:\/\/www.cflscouting.org\/calendar\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Cub Scouts<\/strong> Scouts BSA<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n <!– <\/p>\n –><\/p>\n \t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n We would like to invite you to the Colonial District Roundtable, which is typically held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Centre Point Community Church (9580 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL 32825<\/a>).\u00a0Doors open for gathering at\u00a06:30pm, and opening flag is at\u00a07pm. Roundtable is a great way for Scout leaders to share ideas, network and get information about our Council and District.
